MADURAI: The prestigious Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) in Madurai is going to face yet another fresh examination scandal since information is coming out that exam malpractices has spread to several States in North India and even two southern States with doubts being raised about some staff belonging to the Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) of MKU, sources told ‘Lotus Times’ news website- www.lotustimes.org– here today- on 10th August 2020.
This development assumes significance because already three MKU centres in Kerala are under cloud and being enquired for DDE exam irregularities for exams held in March 2020.
“Information about the distance education examination irregularities is being gathered from other States. There are doubts being raised about the distance education study centres at Madurai Arasaradi, Gudalur, Sengottai, Coimbatore (outer area) etc……The amount involved for this scandal is Rs.7 crores. Information about this lump sum amount is being probed and university will give all details soon,” sources added today.
