MADURAI: Tamil Nadu BJP State general secretary Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan, Madurai city BJP president Mr.K.K.Srinivasan and several other functionaries and cadres turned up in large numbers before Tiruparankundram Lord Subramanya Swamy Murugan temple in Madurai today evening- a total lockdown Sunday- 9th August 2020- which was announced by the Tamil Nadu State Government for COVID-19 prevention measures.
The BJP functionaries assembled before the temple for ‘Kanda Shasti’ holy event. But, on 9th August 2020- Sunday- it was declared as a total lockdown day restricting the public movement, closing down of all establishments etc. Questions are being asked from common people on how the BJP was given permission to gather when temples are closed- on a total lockdown Sunday? How BJP alone can get permission for their call in Tamil Nadu?.
