MADURAI: An urgent communication was sent to the Tamil Nadu Governor today – on 25th July 2020- pleading for his steps to ensure transparency in selection of a right candidate as Vice-Chancellor of University of Madras, with all his role to prevent political influence, and for his steps to stop political interference in VC selection. With interviews for Vice-Chancellor position taking place on 28th July 2020, a letter was shot off by today Dr.R.Murali, State Coordinator, Save Higher Education Movement- Tamil Nadu, urging the Tamil Nadu Governor’s intervention in the interest of University of Madras, academia and students.
