MORE MOBILE MEDICAL UNITS IN MADURAI FOR FEVER TESTS

MADURAI: Fever surveillance and collection of blood samples from the public to do various tests as a part of COVID-19 prevention measure has been intensified by the Madurai Corporation.

On 13th July 2020, Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan along with MLA Dr.S.S.Saravanan and others had visited Mahal Pandhadi First Street, Kamarajar Salai Navarathnapuram and Old Kuyavarpalem areas to inspect the special mobile medical camps being held to check fever cases.

The Madurai Corporation has been conducting mobile camps in various wards in the city with three vehicles till now and now another eight more mobile medical units are added to cover more areas and more people, a press release from Madurai Corporation today said.

Mr.S.Visakan has asked the Madurai people to make use of the mobile medical camps being conducted in their area. Camps are also held at 31 Urban Primary Health Centres in Madurai city. Field workers have been deployed to collect fever data from all over the city.

Assistant Commissioner Mr.Ravichandran, Corporation City Health Officer Dr.Kumaraguruparan, Dr.Ismail and PRO Mr.Chithravel were among those present during the inspection of Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan here today.
