DMK opposes Modi govt move to privatize Railways (Letter copy)

MADURAI: The DMK today wrote a letter to Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi expressing its opposition to privatising Indian Railways by inviting private players to operate passenger trains. Party’s senior leader, Sriperumpudur MP and DMK Parliamentary Party leader Mr.T.R.Baalu has written to Mr.Modi on 3rd July 2020 expressing the party’s stand and urged Modi government and Ministry of Railways to reconsider the decision because Indian Railways is an essential service and its privatisation will put common people to burden.
