MADURAI: A special puja and ‘abhishekam’ were performed to Kanchi Sankaracharya Sri Chandrashekarendra Saraswati Swamigal in Madurai today- on 2nd July 2020- to seek his blessings to save people from the threatening Corona virus and protect people’s health and their lives.
The special puja was done at Anjal Nagar near Koodal Nagar in Madurai today morning and devotees had darshan via virtual online mode since Corona lockdown restrictions are now there in Madurai city.
To the portrait and idol of Kanchi seer Swami Chandrashekarendra Saraswati, the pua organisers had performed milk and curd ‘abhishekam’ and invoked his blessings to protect people from the deadly Coronavirus.
Mr.Nellai Balu, Mr.Srinivasa Sastri and Mr.Ganesa Sastry were among those who took this initiative to seek the powerful divine blessings of Kanchi Sankaracharya (Kanchi Periyava).
Devotees took part in the ‘abhishekam’ through virtual darshan mode from their homes.
