MADURAI: Fever surveillance through special camps has been stepped up in Madurai city by the Corporation.
On 1st July 2020, a mobile fever clinic was conducted at Gandhipuram in Pudur in Zone-2 here. These camps are being conducted to identify fever cases and take immediate steps as a part of Corona control activity in Madurai.
Madurai Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan had inspected the mobile fever clinic at Gandhipuram in K.Pudur today along with Assistant Commissioner Mr.Premkumar, health inspector Mr.Rajkumar and others. Totally, 16 mobile medical units have been deployed now for conducting fever checkup camps across Madurai city.
Each vehicle will cover four areas per day in two shifts and all the 16 mobile fever units put together will be conducting 64 fever camps in Madurai daily, according to a press release here today.
Four lakh houses in Madurai Corporation area will be covered during a special fever survey drive being conducted by 1,400 field workers presently in the city. All the 100 wards of Madurai Corporation would be covered soon, the press release added.
