HYPE, HYSTERIA ARE HALLMARKS OF HOLLOW MODI GOVERNMENT?

MADURAI: Indian has seen great Prime Ministers and even minority governments that gave maximum positive results for our country and economy. Prime Ministers like Lal Bahadur Shastri and P.V.Narasimha Rao will always be remembered for their strong and bold actions that showed the power of India to the world.

They did not have a national level vote bank for themselves, Mr.Narasimha Rao ran a minority government with no fuss but turned around the economy with his policies, with his affable approach and ability to muster support of various political parties in the early 90s. And, till today, there is no other powerful slogan in India  that matches Lal Bahadur Shastri’s ‘Jai Jawan Jai Kisan’. They showed statesmanship and leadership.

But, the manner in which the present political leadership is working under Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the past six years is a mix of hype and hysteria. There is a shouting brigade around Mr.Modi that makes fun of opposition parties, there are a few self-styled intellectuals in New Delhi and their ‘chamcha’ media that projects Mr.Modi as a messiah of India.

But, it is time for thinking people to ponder. Did India really achieve anything since the year 2014 either in terms of Indian economic growth, employment, security etc. The one thing that has been dominating the public space is elections and BJP victory. How long can India live in hype? How long we have to bear this hysteria?

Lotus Times’ website wants expert opinions from diverse fields to put things in perspective. From Corona to China, from economy to Ambani and from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. This country wants history, not BJP’s hysteria. India needs broadthinking, not bombarding of BJP.

In a simple language, we have to raise questions and demand BJP government at the Centre to answer. Because, the nation wants to know. And every Indian respects and lives for ‘Bharat Matha’. From today 30th June 2020, we will begin to question.
