Free Dialysis Centre opened in Chennai with 11 machines (Video)

CHENNAI: The Rotary Club of Chennai Coastal has implemented a major health project by opening a free dialysis centre with 11 dialysis machines at a total project cost of Rs.65 lakhs.

This dialysis centre, which is a dream project of this Rotary Club, is situated at Urban Community Health Centre, Chinna Porur Government Hospital Road, Sairam Avenue, Valasaravakkam, Chennai. 
Mr.G.Prakash, Commissioner, Greater Chennai Corporation, had inaugurated the free dialysis centre here on 26th June 2020 in the presence of Mr.N.Chandramohan, Rotary District Governor, Rotary International District 3232, and Rotary club office-bearers including Mr.Mitra Srikanth, Mr.Rishi Tulsyan and others.

TANKER FOUNDATION AND ROTARY:

Totally 11 dialysis machines were donated by the Rotary Club of Chennai Coastal to this dialysis centre which will function in association with Tanker Foundation. 

“It is our social responsibility to help the underprivileged people. Kidney patients benefit in a big way. We thank the Greater Chennai Corporation for supporting our dream project by providing the right venue to set up free dialysis centre at Sairam Avenue in Valasaravakkam in Chennai,” the Rotary club press release added.

The Rotary Club of Chennai Coastal has been doing various community service projects by supporting Corporation schools for their building renovations, RO drinking water plants, new toilets etc.

Tanker Foundation will manage the dialysis centre at Valasaravakkam Sairam Avenue in Chennai and the Rotary Club has plan to set up another dialysis centre in Chennai with the support of Chennai Corporation.
