MADURAI: Senior IAS officer and Corona control special monitoring officer for Madurai district Dr.B.Chandramohan had an online meeting with representatives of residential welfare associations, apartments and trade bodies on the ways to implement COVID control measures in Madurai city.
From the Corona Control Room set up at the Madurai Corporation headquarters building ‘Anna Maligai’ here, Dr.Chandramohan had emphasized the need to follow all preventive measures such as hand wash, spraying of disinfectants, social distancing, wearing of face masks etc.
Through online mode via video conferencing, the senior IAS officer has urged the residential welfare associations and trade bodies to follow the prevention guidelines and check the spread of Corona positive cases in Madurai Corporation area.
According to a press release here today, people were cautioned that one person can spread the virus infection to 400 persons if he or she goes unchecked. The importance of fever surveillance and alerting the corporation / health authorities was also stressed at this meeting.
Among those present during this online meeting were Madurai District Collector Dr.T.G.Vinay, Madurai Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan, City Engineer Mr.S.Arasu, ACHO Dr.Vinodh Raja and others.
