MADURAI: After two months of total Corona lockdown, the Madurai airport has opened today for the passenger flights- 25th May 2020 – Monday.
Flight services had resumed and Madurai has seen arrival and departure of planes in the skies with a limited number after thorough COVID restrictions- screening in place.
Airport and Health Department officials including Sivakumar were on total alert at the Madurai airport from today morning. The Chennai-Madurai flight with 20 passengers reached here and airport has seen activity from 8.30 am when it landed. And, again the flight to Chennai took off with 56 passengers.
