MADURAI: An elected mandal president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Madurai district was reportedly physically attacked by the same party BJP leaders in Madurai, according to a complaint filed in the Anna Nagar police station here.
The assault on BJP mandal president Mr.A.Annamalai- of Thiruppalai Mandal – in Madurai Rural district, took place in the district party office situated in Melamadai in Madurai city on 12th May 2020. Names of BJP Madurai Rural and some State leaders are involved in the attack and instigation, according to the victim. Police complaint has been filed, sources said today- 22nd May 2020.
