TEMPLES WILL BE OPENED SOON: RAJAN CHELLAPPA (Video)

MADURAI: Temples will be opened soon for devotees as the Tamil Nadu government is working out modalities for implementing social distancing and to prevent huge crowds at a time, Madurai North MLA Mr.V.V.Rajan Chellappa has said today.

Speaking to reporters in Madurai on 18th May, he said that the crowd regulation model being prepared by Tirumala -Tirupati temple may be followed for Meenakshi Temple and Tirupparankundram temple also. 

“Chief Minister Mr.Edappadi K.Palanisami knows well that people are waiting for the temples to open soon. Various relaxations are announced even while extending the Corona lockdown. And temples too will soon be opened with a good social distancing rule by allowing limited number,” AIADMK Madurai East district secretary Mr.Rajan Chellappa has said after distributing grocery items -food essentials to more than 1,000 needy people on behalf of the Madurai East district unit of AIADMK at Tirupparankundram here today.  

He also informed that free food will be provided to poor and needy people at Amma Canteens in Madurai and the AIADMK will meet the cost. “Our party’s Madurai East district unit will ensure that all deserving people get free food three times a day in Amma Canteens,” he added.
