
COIMBATORE: India’s leading enterprise HCL has joined hands with the Coimbatore district administration in its COVID-19 pandemic disaster management efforts by providing vital protection equipment to frontline workers.
HCL has provided 7,000 Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) kits complying to SITRA and HLL specifications, 20,000 three-ply masks, 55 litres of sanitizer and two hands-free wash basins to the Coimbatore district administration, according to a press release on 12th May 2020.
These vital protection equipment are being routed to the frontline health workers of Coimbatore district working in the ESI Hospital, Government Hospital, Coimbatore Medical College Hospital, district health centres and conservancy workers.
Mr.K.Rajamani, Coimbatore District Collector, has thanked the HCL for its timely support. “Our healthcare warriors and frontline workers are saving precious lives of our people from this COVID pandemic. The support of HCL by giving protective equipment will help our brave hearts,” the Coimbatore district collector said.
