MADURAI: A new Registrar In-charge for Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) will be appointed on Monday (4th May) in the place of Prof.Sankar Natesan who resigned yesterday.

“By Monday, a new Registrar in-charge will be selected because it has to be done soon. After the Corona lockdown and the present Corona crisis is over, we will call for a full time Registrar through advertisement,” MKU Vice-Chancellor Prof.M.Krishnan told ‘Lotus Times‘ news website today- 2nd May 2020.

The sudden resignation of Prof.Sankar Natesan as MKU Registrar in-charge on 1st May afternoon has raised several eyebrows. He met the Vice-Chancellor and informed him about his decision to step down because he wanted to go back to his biotechnology department to pursue research and focus on academics / students.

“Prof.Sankar Natesan did well as Registrar in-charge. He is a scientist and his priority for research is natural,” the Vice-Chancellor said today.
