MADURAI: The Tamil Nadu Government has made an important announcement today -29th April 2020- that the lockdown and restrictions will continue in the State for Coronavirus control as were implemented before 26th April.
However, for one day on 30th April (Thursday) only vegetable shops, fruit shops and grocery shops will be allowed to be open from 6 AM to 5 pm.
On 1st May (Friday), these shops will be open only from 6 AM to 1 PM. People have been asked not to panic and buy the essential groceries and vegetables during the said timings with calm.
Total lockdown and total closure of all shops in Chennai, Coimbatore and Madurai corporation areas is ending tonight. From tomorrow, the lockdown restrictions will continue as were there before 26th April, according to a press release issue by the Tamil Nadu Government today
The State government has urged the public to follow social distancing and wear face masks while going to shops on these two days.
