MADURAI: The Tamil Nadu Government has directed all private schools and colleges in the State not to compel students or parents to pay the fee for next academic year 2020-21 or the pending dues for the academic year 2019-20, or levy and penalty for any delay, during this COVID-19 lockdown period.
A Government Order to this effect dated 20th April 2020 was issued under the Disaster Management Act 20005 and sent by the Tamil Nadu Government Chief Secretary Mr.K.Shanmugam, after the matter was discussed by Revenue and Disaster Management Department.
