UGC ISSUES PUBLIC NOTICE, SAYS NO TO ‘SELF PLAGIARISM’

MADURAI: India’s apex body of higher education- University Grants Commission (UGC) – has come out strongly against self-plagiarism / text-recycling by saying that ethical publishing must be followed because promotion of academic integrity and prevention of plagiarism is the ultimate objective.

On 20th April 2020, the public notice signed by UGC Secretary Prof.Rajnish Jain was sent to higher education institutions and higher education bodies in India drawing their attention for implementing regulations to stop self-plagiarism because it is not acceptable.
