MADURAI: A biscuit-making unit at Villapuram in Madurai has started functioning from yesterday after a long lockdown due to Corona. It was opened following the Government directive to start biscuit making in adherence to all safety-hygiene norms to be followed for Coronavirus prevention.
Proprietor Mr.G.Velumurugan and his employees are now back to biscuit making on 16th April 2020 and the racks are getting filled with stocks needed for supplies to retail shops and others.
This biscuit manufacturing unit is fully automated and staff are trained to handle machines from flour mixing to the final biscuit piece. The authorities have instructed that employees of the biscuit unit must follow corona safety protocol by wearing hand gloves and face masks.
From oven to shelf, precautions are being taken, according to the staff in this bakery-biscuit making unit..
