HOTSPOT DISTRICTS WILL GET MORE FOCUS: MINISTER

MADURAI: All the 22 districts in Tamil Nadu which are identified as Corona ‘hotspot’ districts will be given more attention and all public health safety protocols must be followed till the end of lockdown period which gets over on 3rd May 2020, Minister for Revenue and Disaster Relief Mr.R.B.Udayakumar has said in Madurai today.

He visited Setupati Higher Secondary School where food preparations was underway under the auspices of ‘Palamuthircholai Bhatha Seva Sangam’ to be distirbuted to Corona warriors including sanitary workers, corporation workers, police and volunteers. Madurai Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan and senior officials were present during the Minister’s inspection.

“Containment zones in all hotspot districts should be given top priority to prevent any spread of corona positive cases….After 20th April also, the 22 hotspot districts must follow lockdown rules. The State government is providing food to  the needy people through Amma Canteens, community kitchens and donors. Palarmudhi Cholai Bhaktha Sabha has been providing free food during the time of Chithirai festival for the past several years and this year it is supplying to needy poor people affected by lockdown,” Minister Mr.R.B.Udayakumar has said here today
