Tamil Nadu Chamber gives Rs.31 lakhs to Corona Relief Fund

MADURAI: The Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry had contributed Rs.31 lakhs to the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund towards Coronavirus prevention activities in the State.

This voluntary donation amount was handed over by a chamber team led by its president Mr.N.Jegatheesan to Madurai District Collector Dr.T.G.Vinay here on 13th April 2020 in the presence of Revenue Minister Mr.R.B.Udhayakumar and IAS officer Mr.C.Kamaraj who is in-charge of Special Zonal Task Force for monitoring Corona control and assistance works in Madurai.   

“The Tamil Nadu State Government has undertaken many preventive measures and working on a war-footing to control the spread of COVID-19 under the guidance of Chief Minister Mr.Edappadi K.Palaniswami, Deputy Chief Minister Mr.O.Paneerselvam and Minister Mr.R.B.Udhayakumar. Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry has assured its continuous support to the government in its endeavours,”  according to a press release from the TN Chamber here today.

Chamber office-bearers and EC members have contributed their donations to Corona Relief Fund which totally amounted to Rs.31 lakhs and was handed over today.
