
MADURAI: The Coronavirus prevention and monitoring measures in Madurai city went to the next step as district administration and Corporation have brought in drone to fly and keep an eye with its images.
Drone are on duty from 9th April 2020 at the Government Rajaji Hospital (GRH) in Madurai- Annexe Building- Corona Isolation Treatment Ward, and at places where Corona have been reported here. Total lockdown implementation, Section 144 curfew restrictions and a thorough check in areas from where positive-suspect cases have been reported will be under scanner through drones.

Madurai Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan along with City Engineer Mr.S.Arasu and other officials inspected the drone deployment in GRH area here today. Some areas have been closed for public movement.
The Corporation has already taken steps to intensify spraying of disinfectants through powerful spray vehicles and fire service department’s vehicles. All public places, government buildings, bus stands etc are being closely monitored to prevent crowds and also ensure social distancing to prevent the spread of virus.
