MADURAI: It is the sanitary workers who are toiling on the field to prevent and protect people from Coronavirus spread through cleaning and sanitizing measures across Madurai.
But who will take care of the health of these sanitary workers? The Madurai Corporation has taken an important initiative to conduct medical health checkup for them. On 7th April 2020, Cooperation Minister Mr.Sellur K Raju, Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan and others went to the Urban Primary Health Centre at Sathamangalam in Madurai where the checkup was being done.
Their emphasis was also on providing facemasks- corona protective equipment to the sanitary and health staff. Among those present were City Engineer Mr.Arasu, Mr.M.S.Pandian and others.
