MADURAI: Continuing with its efforts to prevent crowds at market places, the Madurai Corporation is introducing FRUIT BAGS containing five varieties of fruits with each bag priced at Rs.100.
According to a Corporation press release here today, each fruit bag will contain ‘Paneer grapes’, ‘Sathukudi’ (Mosambi), Orange, Guaya and Sapota. Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan had reviewed and inspected the places where vegetables are being sold by following social distancing protocol to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
Already, the Madurai Corporation had started selling ‘Vegetable bags’ with each bag carrying 16 varieties of vegetables and priced at Rs.200. These vegetable bags are being sold through mobile vegetable vans at different places in Madurai city.
