COMPLAIN IF YOU DON’T GET RS.1,000: MINISTER (VIDEO)

MADURAI: Cooperation Minister Mr.Sellur K.Raju has today said that rationcard holders can complain to authorities if the cash relief of Rs.1,000 given through ration shops is not given to them.

“There is a foolproof mechanism in place…..through Smart Card we are giving ration items and cash. Card holders will get SMS mentioning what they took from their ration shop. If any mistake happens or if someone has taken the Rs.1,000 meant for them, they can complain and action will be taken,” the Minister told mediapersons here today- 2nd April 2020.

The distribution of rice, dhal, sugar and oil besides Rs.1,000 cash relief announced by the State government had started today morning. Mr.Sellur K.Raju, along with Madurai District Collector Dr.T.G.Vinay and Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan visited various places here and also started the distribution at cooperative ration shops.

“Those who miss taking ration items now can take later…..There is nothing to panic….Our objective is that the right beneficiaries must receive the free ration and Rs.1,000 being given as relief since Coronavirus impact -Section 144- total lockdown had impacted the people,” the Minister has said.

Mr.Sellur K.Raju had also urged the people of Madurai city to make use of the facility created by introducing mobile vegetable vans in to service at different wards in the city.
