MADURAI: Condemning the riots and violence that took place in the last few days, advocates and senior lawyers have staged a demonstration before the High Court Bench in Madurai today- 28th February 2020- urging the Central government to take action against the rioters.
They assembled before the main gate of Madurai Bench of the Madras tHigh Court here and expressed their protest over the Delhi riots and the sudden transfer of Delhi High Court Judge Justice Muralidhar.
“The BJP government should not sit silently on this serious issue. Action should be taken quickly against the perpetrators of riots and violence in Delhi,” the lawyers demanded. Among those who took part in the protest today include senior lawyers Lajapathi Roy, Henry Tiphange, John Vincent and others.
