I’M FINE IN JAPAN: CHEF FROM MADURAI SPEAKS

MADURAI: Amidst reports that a couple of persons have tested Coronavirus positive in quarantined cruise ship ‘Diamond Princess’ at a port in Japan, a chef from Madurai – Mr.Anbalagan- who is now in that ship has today said that he is doing fine, he is healthy and his family members or the people of Tamil Nadu need not worry.

“I am fine as of now, no problem. Waiting for the observation time to be over by the Japanese Government and Japan Health Department. Five Tamilians are now in this vessel. Very soon we will return home, don’t worry,” Mr.Anbalagan told ‘Lotustimes’ news website over phone from Japan today- 15th February 2020.

His wife Mrs.Malliga met Madurai District Collector Dr.T.G.Vinay a few days back and gave a petition to him seeking his help for the safe return of Indians who got stranded in the ship – ‘Diamond Princess’ – in Japan now.

“There are some rumours that a few persons are ‘positive’ now. But nothing happened to us…..we are doing well and we will come back soon,” the Chef from Madurai told ‘Lotustimes’ today. His family stays in Nagamalai Pudukottai in Madurai.
