MADURAI: Sivaganga MP and Congress leader Mr.Karti Chidambaram has today condemned the police lathicharge against those who were protesting against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and NRC at Vannarpettai area in Chennai yesterday.
Talking to reporters at Madurai airport, he stated that CAA is unconstitutional and it is intended against the interests of Muslims in this country.
“Not only in Chennai, the police are booking cases at protesters across India. The way Mr.Kapeel Khan was arrested in UP is an example. People from various sections of society are opposing the CAA and intellectuals too are against CAA because it against the spirit of our Constitution,” Mr.Karti Chidambaram said here on 15th February 2020.
