MADURAI: The Corporation Commissioner of Madurai Corporation Mr.S.Visakan today directly received petitions from the local people at a public grievance meeting held here for the residents of Zone-1 areas.
On 4th February 2020, the civic body had conducted a grievance redressal meeting to receive complaints from the people in Zone-1 areas/wards of Madurai city.
Nearly 75 petitions were submitted by the residents urging the Madurai Corporation authorities to take quick steps for their grievances about drinking water, underground drainage facility, house rent, property tax, roads and street lights.
The Corporation Commissioner had instructed the officials to take swift action within a particular time frame and action will be taken against those who do not comply with the order. The Action Taken Report on the complaints received during the previous grievance meeting was also asked.
