MADURAI: The famous car festival at Arulmigu Subramaniya Swamy temple in Tiruparankundram here was held today – 3rd February 2020.
A large number of devotees thronged the temple to witness the car festival (Therottam) which is an important event of ‘Thaipoosam’ festival and had darshan in the temple which is one of the six abodes of Lord Murugan. The ‘Thaipoosam’ festival takes place 8th February 2020.
Lord Subramaniya Swamy and Goddess Deivayani idols were decorated colourfully for this Thaipoosam festival events wihich began on 26th January.
