MADURAI: The water level in Vaigai dam stood at 55.05 feet on 22nd January 2020 (Wednesday) against the total capacity of 71 feet.
Water level in Periyar dam was at 119.40 feet today The permissible level is 142 feet in Periyar dam. Public Works Department (PWD) has said that storage and discharge quantity are being constantly monitored.
