MADURAI: Security in and around Madurai airport has been beefed up with five-tier security in view of 70th Republic Day on 26th January 2020.
From today, visitors and those accompanying the flight passengers are not being allowed as part of security measures. This restriction is from 20th January to 31st January.
Mr.Uma Maheswaran-led security teams of CISF are monitoring the Madurai airport security inside and outside the airport. Bomb detection squad, QRT are on alert mode.
Vehicles coming to the airport are being checked by security personnel. While only flight passengers are allowed into the airport premises, authorities have informed today that others will not be permitted for the next 12 days till 31st January.
