(VIDEO) GOD AND THE BIRDS:
Situated about 50 kilometres from Pune, the Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga Temple is an ancient temple of Lord Siva.
It is widely believed that on the important ‘Pradosham day’, birds gather and perform ‘Soma Sutha Pradakshanam’ three times clockwise and one time anti-clockwise. Later they fly away in the ‘Sandya Pradosham’ time – during the time of fading light in the sky.
Lord Shiva has devotees on the ground and in the sky too and it is a delight to watch that spectacle on ‘Pradosham’ day at Bhima Shankar Temple near Pune.
