MADURAI: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior spokesperson Mr.Narayanan Thirupathy has put a few straight questions to DMK president Mr.M.K.Stalin who, he said, is trying to do politics out of the unfortunate suicide of girl student Fathima Latheef in IIT Madras campus on November 9th 2019.

STALIN HAS NO RIGHT TO SPEAK:

“Records and statistics say that Tamil Nadu stands in second place in India for the student suicides…When DMK was part of UPA Government at the Centre, totally 23,733 suicides took place in India. So, can we say that DMK was responsible for all these suicides because Stalin’s DMK was part of that alliance and that government,” Mr.Narayanan Thirupathi had questioned speaking to ‘Lotustimes‘ news website today.

DON’T POLITICISE SUICIDE:

Asking Mr.M.K.Stalin and his DMK party to stop unnecessary protests and criticism and stop from politicizing and bringing communal colour to the sad suicide by IIT Madras student Fathima, the BJP spokesperson had recalled Udayakumar’s death in 1972 when Karunanidhi was the Chief Minister.

“That youngster had objected to an issue and the next day Udayakumar’s body was found in a water tank…..So, what do we say for that? Stalin has no right to talk about suicides. What about complaints received from a DMK MP’s college from students there? Are not students being threatened?,” Mr.Narayanan Thirupathi asked and told M.K.Stalin to refrain from targeting the BJP or any other party on this issue.
