MADURAI: An awareness session to highlight prevention of dengue, Aedes Aegypti day biting mosquitoes and cleanliness measures was held for the benefit of school students at MRR.MAVMM Matriculation Higher Secondary School near district Collectorate here on 12th November 2019.
The awareness programme was organised by Voice Trust Madurai, Suji Health Care and Apollo Speciality Hospitals to educate school students about dengue-causing mosquitoes, fever prevention etc through interactive sessions.
Mr.T.Murugesan. Director, Voice Trust and Suji Health Care, Madurai, has said that so far 40 dengue awareness camps were conducted by the Voice Trust in various Government schools.
Dr.J.Murugan Jayaraman, senior paediatrician and neonatologist, Apollo Speciality Hospitals, Madurai and Dr.T.Mariappan, retired scientist, ICMR, were among those who addressed the students and created awareness about dengue prevention.
Mr.N.Baskaran, president, MAVMM Sabai, Mr.S.Kanagasundaram, Correspondent and Mrs.G.Alagu Meena, Principal, have told the students to make sure that their surroundings are clean and free of mosquito breeding sources.
