Mr.P.Senthil Murugan, president, North Madras-(East district) of the Federation, said today that a large number of people from all over Tamil Nadu are coming to Chennai city for their livelihood and earnings.
“They are setting up small shops and getting some income. If online business becomes order of the day, then what will happen to small traders, small retailers and vendors……Mr.Vijay Sethupathi’s film on farmers is ‘Kadaisi Vivasayi’. So, with his advertisement for promoting online business, will he make us last farmer and last trader,” Mr.Senthil Murugan had questioned.
He said the film actor knows how many farmer suicides are taking place because of grim situation to traders and hence Vijay Sethupathi should walkout and withdraw from the ‘Mandee’ online commodity platform advertisement in the interest of farmers and small traders of Tamil Nadu whose life has become a question of survival.
