CHENNAI: The ‘Chennai Connect’ between India and China has been established by our Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi during the two-day Mamallapuram sea-side informal talks , it led to a wave of positive signals in relations between the two countries during our tourism-anti-terrorism-trade talks, that took place at the historic ancient sculpture UNESCO heritage site in Tamil Nadu on October 11th and 12th 2019.

The beach-side talks at Mahabalipuram- Kovalam seashore have adequately signaled that tensions between India and China will be negatived through these informal discussions. As usual, Prime Minister Modi had displayed his diplomatic skills, strong body language and as a perfect best host to the visiting powerful Chinese President Mr.Xi Ping, putting forth our India’s issues in the one-on-one and later in delegation level meeting.

At the end of the day, the two-day schedule between two top world leaders – India’s Narendra Modi and China’s Xi Jinping- had sent out a strong signal that the ancient ties between India and China, that too which prevailed in historic Mamallapuram town near Chennai many centuries ago, would take a massive momentum from Mahabalipuram, from now on.

Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi was at his beautiful best, diplomacy got victory, XI was happy, sculptures and stones got a global picture, food was good and finally the MODI- XI meetings were a hit. The message is that Modi is India’s ‘Baahubali’. And the people of Tamil Nadu are happy that an important historic meet between two powerful leaders in the world had taken place in their State and on their shores in Chola-Pandya historic Mahabalipuram which stands as a symbol to show that very good ties existed between India and China centuries back.
