MKU focus on Chinese, 3 other languages (video)

MADURAI: To increase the students’ job prospects and develop their skills, the Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) here has begun special focus on four languages – Russian, Japanese, French and Chinese.
 
“Students must learn new languages. Already our MKU’s French department is very strong. We got persons to teach Russian and Japanese. Now we are looking out for someone to teach Chinese language for our students. The embassies are helping us a lot,” Vice-Chancellor Prof.Dr.M.Krishnan, told ‘Lotus Times’ news website on October 10th 2019.

The more you learn the more you earn. In this direction, the VC and his team are encouraging MKU students to go for acquiring additional skills and learning new languages so that getting jobs outside India and in many companies become easy.
 
“Skill development is my area of concentration….A separate centre to equip students with new skill sets is our mission for which 300 computers / needed software will be available to get the plan going,” Vice-Chancellor Prof.Dr.M.Krishnan, who completed nine months in office as VC of MKU, had added. He assumed charge as MKU Vice-Chancellor in January 2019.
