MADURAI: We are all only casts in caste system and from time immemorial in India it prevailed in our ancient land for several centuries. Every film has actors and it is called cast. If you use your caste tag in  a positive manner, it shall do wonders to your respective castes and communities for empowerment and enrichment. If caste is used for undermining other castes, it will lead to disharmony, social unrest, disorder and breakdown of law and order.

Amidst this background is happening a BOOK RELEASE event of “CASTE AS SOCIAL CAPITAL”, written by Prof.R.Vaidyanathan in English – in Madurai city on October 5th 2019 Saturday evening. Madurai-based voluntary organization ‘VANAVIL’ which is involved in social empowerment activities is supporting this book release function whose message is that all castes are important to further strengthen our country.

Mr. D.Poomaran, Convener, Vaanavil Foundation and Mr.P.K.Sampath Kumar, Joint Convener, are making arrangements to take the important social message of this eye-opening book to the common man.

SOCIAL ENGINEERING EXPERT SAYS:

A leader who is actively working in the area of social engineering, social peace and progress of all castes, Madurai-based Prof. Dr.R.Srinivasan (Tamil Nadu BJP State Secretary), has explained the reasons why caste is really a social capital.

“Since time immemorial, caste system had prevailed in India and this fact cannot be ignored. Sadly, after our Independence, caste is being perceived as a stigma by our elite. Voice for caste-less society became a high decibel rhetoric and this has unfortunately made us focused on caste-handling rather than development politics-handling,” laments Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan.

SPOKE TO ‘LOTUS TIMES’:

Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan, who spoke to ‘Lotus Times’ news website, says that caste system will be a boon if it is handled properly by leaders of respective castes.

“Prof.R.Vaidyanathan had authored this important book highlighting that success stories will happen in all castes. Madurai-based Vanavil Foundation recognizes that our caste system in India and Tamil Nadu, with its positive virtues is completely determined to root out and reject untouchability / social boycott. Vaanvil Foundations respects all castes. At the same time, Vaanavil Foundation insists on development-based politics rather than caste identity politics. Why caste system should be ignored when we can focus on all castes and communities in a positive way,” questions Dr.Srinivasan saying that we must see caste as social capital.
