Madurai District Collector’s warning to schools: Don’t conduct special classes during summer holidays vacation period

MADURAI: A strict warning has been issued today by Madurai District Collector M.S.Sangeetha that strict action will be taken against those schools which violate the summer holidays guidelines given by the Tamil Nadu State government for children during the summer vacation.

“All the schools functioning under the Department of School Education of Government of Tamil Nadu…including the Government, aided and private schools (nursery and primary/ elementary/ middle/ higher and higher secondary schools) should not function during the summer holidays time and it is a clear warning to the schools. Special classes should not be conducted in the summer vacation holidays for students and schools should not ask students to come to school in the evening time classes also. If schools in Madurai district are found violating the Tamil Nadu Government norms for summer holidays, strict action will be taken against the erring schools in Madurai district,” the Madurai District Collector M.S.Sangeetha has warned in a press statement here on April 29th 2025.
