MADURAI: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has begun membership enrolment drive in its Madurai Urban and Rural districts on July 6th 2019 Saturday.
The membership drive to strengthen the party in Madurai region is in tune with the NATIONWIDE call given by national leadership to rope in new members into the party and step up BJP base in Tamil Nadu.
While Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi started the membership mission from his own Lok Sabha constituency holy town Varanasi in UP on July 6th, party president Mr.Amit Shah took up the drive from Telangana State by reaching Hyderabad in the afternoon and meeting the party functionaries.
IN MADURAI RURAL:
Tamil Nadu BJP State Secretary Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan, who is the Madurai Division In-Charge for the party, along with BJP’s Madurai Rural District president Mr.Maha.Suseendhran and others, has launched the membership drive from Thiruppalai mandal in Madurai on July 6th 2019 morning.
A similar CAMPAIGN was taken up by the Madurai Urban (city) unit of the party to enrol new members into the party on an aggressive pitch.
GO GREEN TOO:
Responding to the PM Modi’s ‘GO GREEN’ call along with membership campaign, the Madurai district BJP cadres took steps for planting saplings in booth areas and hoisted BJP flags.
BJP Thiruppalai Mandal president Nagarajan, Madurai East Assembly constituency in-charge Senthil Kumar, Madurai Rural district secretaries Balamurugan and Perumal along with mandal general secretary Harikrishnan besides Venkatesh and others led the membership campaign.
