MADURAI: A team of retired professors from various institutions have planned to start Madurai Science Forum in this temple city shortly. The primary aim of the forum is to inculcate scientific attitude, aptitude, work for policies and provide science-society interface.
Dr.P.S.Navaraj, an academician who is former Dean of Yadava College in Madurai and former Principal of Annai Fathima College here, is taking this initiative along with retired teaching fraternity / experts.
He has invited students, professionals, teachers, parents, administrators, industry, mediapersons and policymakers to be a part of the MADURAI SCIENCE FORUM and give their valuable inputs.

POLICY FORMULATION:
He said on June 11th 2019 that the Forum will work for people’s active participation in science and technology policies / socio-economic impact / progress through science etc.
Campaigns, seminars, workshops and publications will be taken up by the forum. A network of other like-minded organizations will be developed and engaged in its activities to be taken up from Madurai.
Students and those who do not have formal education will be focused. Street plays, exhibitions etc will be held, according to Dr.Navaraj.
“We have to motivate students to become budding scientists…….Scientists, emeritus professors and other similar experts from national institutions and Tamil Nadu professionals will be invited for our activities through MADURAI SCIENCE FORUM…….We will be in action soon,” said Dr.P.S.Navaraj here on June 12th 2019.
