24 hours non-stop classical dance marathon in Madurai for Mahashivratri on February 26th; Attempt for world record by 400 Indian classical dancers

MADURAI: Classical dancers from various States in India are congregating in Madurai for the coming Mahasivarathri festival to take part in a 24 hours non-stop classical dance marathon and enter book of world records. It starts on February 26th at 4 pm and goes up to 27th February 4 pm at Tamil Isai Sangam-Raja Muthaiya Mandram in Madurai.

The Tamil Isai Sangam here and Madurai Sri Kalakendira (MSKAC Trust) are conducting the 9th ‘Mahashivratri Natyanjali-2025’ event as a 24 hours non-stop Indian classical dance marathon to be performed by 400 classical dancers from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Uttar Pradesh.

This classical dance marathon is an attempt to enter Spotlight World Records and High Range Book of World Records. It is a free entry event and all are welcome to enjoy this dance performance conducted in connection with the auspicious Mahasivarathri festival, the organisers said and added that the official announcement cum valedictory function will be held on February 27th 2025 at 4 pm after completing the 24 hours dance marathon.
