‘Dravida Model’ Govt always supports trade and industry: CM Stalin lauds TN Chamber in Madurai at its 100th anniversary celebrations

MADURAI: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Mr.M.K.Stalin has today assured full support for the growth of trade and industry in the State and also stressed that all the requirements for development of trade will be addressed by his government.

“I am very happy to be in Madurai today to participate in the 100th anniversary celebrations of Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Our Dravida Model government always stands in solidarity for the trade fraternity. At the same time the chamber also stands with the government by extending its support for our initiatives. With 5,500 members, the TN Chamber here is a very large trade body in the country,” the Chief Minister said here while making a brief speech at the 100th anniversary celebrations of the Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry at Kamarajar Salai in Madurai today-January 22nd 2025.

Mr.M.K.Stalin also said that the State government will consider the demands made by TN Chamber for the progress and development of southern districts and action will be taken after studying all the specific requirements brought to his attention.

Dr.N.Jegatheesan, president, Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry. in his welcome address made an appeal to the Chief Minister to expedite the Madurai-Thoothukudi Industrial Corridor project and also construct an underpass near the Madurai airport to save time and fuel for the passengers and public.

P.Moorthy, Minister for Commercial Taxes and Registration, Dr.PTR Palanivel Thiagarajan, Minister for IT and Digital Services and Madurai MP Su.Venkatesan along with Madurai North MLA K.Thalapathi were among those present at this event where a centenary year special souvenir of the TN Chamber was also released by the Chief Minister.
