MADURAI: Ms.S.Dhanalakshmi, a student of Lady Doak College in Madurai and a cadet of 2TN Girls Battalion NCC Madurai Group, had successfully completed Para Basic Course at the Army Airborne Training School (AATS) in Agra from November 1st to November 25th 2024.
“It is a challenging course designed to equip cadets with airborne operation skills. There was a rigorous ground training from two weeks and after that the cadets had practical training which included the ground training and fan descent tests. The highlight of the course was day jumps at Malpura Drop Zone from November 20th to 22nd where cadet L/CPL Dhanalakshmi S had demonstrated exceptional parachuting skills. Her outstanding performance earned her the Best Para Jump Cadet Award,” a press release received from Lady Doak College in Madurai on December 5th 2024 has informed.
The girl cadet was congratulated and felicitated by NCC and LDC for her feat and accomplishment. Lt.Col.RSR Prabu, Commanding Officer of 2TN Girls Battalion NCC, Dr.Beaula Jeyashree, Principal and Secretary of LDC, Major T.Shantha Meena and Fg Offr Sagara, Associate NCC Officer, had congratulated the cadet and said that she brought honour to her college and the entire region with her determination and dedication.
When the training was going on at Agra last month, the Director General of NCC Lieutenant General Gurbirpal Singh visited the training spot and met the cadets on November 19th 2024 and motivated them, the press release added.
