MADURAI: The Centre for Education Development Action and Research (CEDAR) in Madurai has been invited to participate in the UNESCO International Forum conference on the ‘Futures of Education 2024’ to be held in Suwon, Republic of Korea, from December 2nd to 4th 2024.
With the theme ‘Renewing Education to Transform the Future’, this global conference will focus on emphasizing the necessity of re-imagining education systems to address contemporary global challenges and to foster more just, inclusive and sustainable societies.
Dr.Chinnaraj Joseph Jaikumar, former principal of American College and CEO of CEDAR here is participating in the UNESCO forum representing civil society.
“Civil society can play a big role in innovating and shaping the future of education. CEDAR has been involved in several experiments in alternative educational methodologies to promote total quality education among the marginalized children for the past 30 years and in the UNESCO conference (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation) that is taking place at Suwon, Republic of Korea from December 2nd to 4th 2024, CEDAR model of total quality education will be shared as an inclusive educational practice,” Dr.Chinnaraj Joseph Jaikumar has informed yesterday.
