MADURAI: The 76th raising day of National Cadet Corps (NCC) was celebrated at NCC Training Academy in Idaiyapatti near Madurai on November 24th 2024 in which Col.VKS.Chauhan, Group Commander, NCC Group Headquarters-Madurai, took part as chief guest and felicitated the DG Commendation Awardee in this event which was attended by NCC commanding officers, JCOs and cadets.
A message from Lt.Gen.Gurbirpal Singh, NCC Director General, was read out and conveyed at this NCC Day observation function where cadets from Lady Doak College, Fatima College, NMSSV College and Kendriya Vidyalaya unit-2 had performed cultural programmes, according to a press release here today.
Col.VKS.Chauhan, Group Commander, NCC Group HQs-Madurai, had distributed saplings to the participants as a part of ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign and felicitated the NCC Director General Commendation Card Awardee Capt.Dr.T.Shanta Meena, Associate NCC Officer, Lady Doak College-Madurai, and also later presented prizes to cadets for various competitions.
Capt.Dr.T.Shantha Meena, Associate NCC Officer, Lady Doak College, Madurai, had welcomed the gathering while Amudha J, associate NCC Offcier, Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2, had proposed a vote of thanks.
Classical dance, folk dance, Dandiya, group songs, western dance, semi-classical dance, veena, folk dance, Desh Rangeela and national integration dance were performed at the NCC Day celebration in Madurai today- November 24th 2024.
