MADURAI: Fifteen candidates are eligible as per their seniority and qualification to apply for the post of prestigious American College Principal in Madurai and they are ready because the incumbent Principal Dr.M.Davamani Christober is getting retired from his distinguished service in May 2025.
“There are many associate professors with seniority who are eligible to apply when the notification for American College Principal post comes. In our own college, I am eligible and like me there are few others who are qualified to apply and become the next Principal of our great American College in Madurai. But, ultimately the 14-member Governing body takes the decision and the final hope rests on the Bishop of CSI Ramnad Diocese who is the Governing Council Chairman of American College,” a senior associate professor who is qualified to apply for Principal position told ‘Lotus Times’ media in Madurai on November 5th 2024 and appealed to the Bishop and college management to take a right decision as per qualification.
PRINCIPAL IS IN MADURAI TODAY:
A few staff members of American College said today- November 5th 2024- that all governing council members of the college went to Europe trip in the last week of October 2024 for a scheduled meeting while the present Principal and Secretary Dr.M.Davamani Christober had stayed back in Madurai and even today (on November 5th 2024) he had conducted a meeting to discuss about the semester examinations while other members including three women went to Europe trip.
“All eyes are on CSI Ramnad Diocese Bishop….We heard that there is going to be a woman principal for American College in Madurai after the retirement of Dr.M.Davamani Christober who is the Principal and Secretary of our college for the last over 10 years. The Governing Council members of our American College are now in Europe. There are 14 members totally including two members who get elected from our college faculty. Very soon after this Europe trip, the governing council of American College will start the next new Principal selection process and in our own college there are 15 eligible candidates who are ready to apply for the Principal post of reputed American College including two women and the present woman Bursar of our college” an associate professor who is eligible for Principal position told ‘Lotus Times’ media on November 5th 2024.
