MADURAI: A large number of women enthusiastically took part in the auspicious ‘Thiru Vilakku Puja’ conducted for Vinayaga Chathurthi festival at Kanni Mariamman Koil Street in D.R.O.Colony – K.Pudur (Ward 45) in Madurai city on September 14th 2018 Friday evening.
Amidst divine discourse and special puja proceedings guided by Mrs. Thilaga Sivamurthy from Tiruchi, the women devotees performed the Vilakku Puja (lamps) and offered prayers to Lord Ganesha for happiness and prosperity.
BJP leaders visited the pandal and offered prayers besides interacting with devotees at this special event organised by Hindu Munnani.

Along with the support of local residents, an active team of BJP volunteers in Madurai DRO Colony / K.Pudur made arrangements and helped for the successful conduct of 2018 Vinayagar Chathurthi festival for three days.
Mr.C.Saravanan (Pudur), Traders Cell Madurai district president. along with Mr.R.Jothi Manivannan @ Saankar, Pudur Mandal president and others made the puja arrangements.
LEADERS VISIT THE AREA:
Several leaders of the BJP visited Kanni Mariamman Koil Street to offer prayers at the huge Vinayaga idol. Those who turned up include Tamil Nadu BJP State Secretary Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan, State Women’s Wing president Mrs.A.R.Mahalakshmi and BJP Youth Wing State general secretary Mr.C.M.Mari Chakkaravarthy.
