MADURAI: Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi will flag off the inaugural services of Vande Bharat Express trains between Chennai- Nagercoil and from Madurai-Bangaluru Cantt tomorrow- on August 31st 2024.
The Prime Minister will flag off the inaugural service ‘Vande Bharat’ express trains through video conferencing on 31st August 2024 and subsequently the regular services of these Vande Bharat Express trains will be operated from September 2nd 2024, a press release received from the Southern Railway Madurai Division has informed today.
The regular service of trains are: Train No.20627/20628 Chennai Egmore-Nagercoil-Chennai Egmore Vande Bharat Express (Except Wednesdays) will leave Chennai Egmore at 05.00 hrs on and from 2nd September 2024 (Monday) and reach Nagercoil at 13.50 hrs the same day.
In return direction, Train No.20628 Nagercoil-Chennai Egmore Vande Bharat Express (except Wednesday) will leave Nagercoil at 14.20 hrs on and from 2nd September 2024 (Monday) and reach Chennai Egmore at 11 pm, the railway press release informed in Madurai today.
There are 16 coaches in these Vande Bharat trains, and the Chair car train fare in the New Vande Bharat Express train from Chennai Egmore to Nagercoil will be Rs.1,760 and the executive chair car fare in Vande Bharat train will be Rs.3,240 including catering charges, the railway press release said.
